Merry Christmas!
It’s been one heck of a year, hasn’t it?
If I Iook back though, I can honestly say that I just feel so lucky to have worked with so many amazing clients, homes and trades. I’ve loved seeing clients embrace bold design ideas, happy to be nudged and pushed out of their comfort zones.
Projects coming together for Christmas
It will always be a total privilege to be invited into someone’s house and trusted to transform it into a space they love, because our homes really are our safe spaces aren’t they? A place where we can truly relax, and be ourselves.
That’s why it’s been so great to top off the year with several projects coming together, giving clients rooms they love just in time for Christmas. Keep your eyes peeled on our socials in the new year to see the photos from these newest projects.
News from AMC Design
It’s also been a year of firsts at AMC HQ. We were shortlisted for UK Residential Interior Design Project in the International Design and Architecture Awards, and we were finalists in the Northern Design awards for our first commercial design project. A huge honour to be in such talented company and brilliant to get so far, the first time we entered either competition.
And the AMC team has grown too. Like a lot of things in life, interior design is a huge team effort. Sitting alongside me in the studio there’s the long-suffering Rebecca, and this year we have been joined by Charlotte and Erin. But there’s also an army of trusted suppliers and trades who help to turn our design ideas into reality. Thank you – we really couldn’t do it without you.
2021 – time to pause and recharge
But wow, 2021, another hectic, complex year. Lockdowns, home learning (again), new Covid strains on top of the day-to-day challenges of balancing work and home life. Just as you think you’ve got it covered another curve balls comes flying in. Given the state of the news this week, it seems that it is a good time to pause and recharge. To acknowledge that 2021 has felt like a year of Covid-challenges, tempered by the relief that the vaccination programme has brought, and the hope that normal life will resume soon. But as tough as it has been, there have been bright moments in the form of our great clients, trades and suppliers.
We’ll be taking a short break from 23 December but will be back in the studio on 4 January 2022 so all that remains is say thank you for your support this year, to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
